About the OSCam app for Splunk
This OSCam app provides a hands-on way to see what is going on with your OSCam Server.
Now that you've installed the app, you may like to know what the different dashboards gives you.
Definition
-
Time frame
The time windows you are looking at. Often set to last 24 hour

Time span
Defining how often a graph shall be updated. Default 10 min.

Host
This is one OSCam server. Splunk can monitor several OSCam severs (hosts) at the same time.

Client
A client connects to you and gets ecm from your host

Reader/Proxy(Server)
Proxy is a local reader or an emualator. Reader is your host connecting to another host to get ecm.
Both Proxy and Reader are in the Server section of the config files.
Dashboards

1. OScam Reader activities
Whats going on with your OSCam servers/proxy/readers? Some panels are hidden if they show no data.

Whats going on with your OSCam clients? Some panels are hidden if they show no data.

3. OSCam Channels Usage Timeline
What channels are your client looking at? Drill down and you will see.
If you select one client, you can see what ecm request he makes.

4. OSCam Channels requested
You see here what channels are decoded by a specific reader/proxy (server) or by Client.
Have you added a new reader(server) and like to see what channels he give ecm for,
just select him from the drop down list. If list is blank, he gives nothing.
You can do the same for a client. Select one and you all request hi has made.
Add "c@p/i/s/l:h:j" to "ECM log format" to make distance work.

5. OSCam Channels decoded
Show what channels are decoded or not decoded, sorted by number of hits and by clients.
You can drill down to host and/or server.

6. OSCam Channels not in oscam.srvid
Show what channels are not listed in oscam.srvid(2). Update the file exits this list.
To make most of this dashboards to look nice, you need an oscam.srvid file.
If a channel is not listed in the file, you see here caid:sid@pvid so you can search or add the id.

7. OSCam Clents ecm requests
Ecm request sorted by hits of Client and by Reader/Proxy(Server) or Channel.

8. OSCam Live view
Here you have two view that shows what information OSCam sends out. Its separated in Ecm and Other info view.
Ecm gives you all Ecm request OSCam host handles
Other info shows the rest. Like loadbalance statistics saved. Readers/Clients connecting. Errors etc.

9. OSCam Clients map location
Not all ISP shows city (shows unknown) but all shows country correct. Zoom in to see better location.

10. OSCam Servers map location
Since this is based on server connect, zoom increase time span to see more serves.

11. OSCam Restarts
When OSCam restarts, it will create a log entry showing that it starts.
Second panel shows someone do a soft restart of OSCam from GUI.

12. OSCam Overview
Show a quick view of all the information as numbers.

13. OSCam config changes
Show when config files of OSCam has been change. It can be changed editing the files or using Web GUI.

14. OSCam ecm errors
Show a list of how gives ECM errors. (rejected group,not found,timeout,rejected,invalid_sid.

15. OSCam client last login
Show when a client last logged in. You can also specify a client name to search for it.

16. OSCam EMM
Show EMM information. You can here see when and if EMM has been written to your card.

17. OSCam percent channel found in serviceID
Show how many percent channels is found in your serviceID. Update files to get more information.

18. OSCam Anticascading
Show information about Anticascading, used to limit a clients ECM usage.

Experimental information showing number of cards from the clients

You alos need to have webgui up and running (revomedn 60s polling) to get log out from OSCam
